Period mentioned
2018–2023
Symptoms
White fog at the rear, a loud wind-like noise, a fuel gauge that drops very fast and a fault warning light.
Possible cause described
The glass bulb in the thermally activated pressure relief device (TPRD) can break early because of micro-cracks and release hydrogen, with a fire risk even when parked. In the US 1,545 Nexo built from 10/8/2018 to 25/8/2023 were recalled (campaign 24V-761); only about 1% are expected to have the defect and no fires are known.
Check for the garage
