Engines: Spring Electric (Electric)
Rust on the underside, wheels and 12 V battery of the Dacia SpringBodywork
- Engine / equipment
- Dacia Spring electric
- Period mentioned
- 2021–2023
- Symptoms
- Fully rusted rear reinforcements, rust on the battery tray and lower casing, 14-inch wheels that rust and crack, and acid leaks from the 12 V battery that corrode the right front side member.
- Possible cause described
- The rear reinforcements lacked electro-galvanising (fixed on 15/11/2022), the lid seal or an over-tightened clamp let acid out of the 12 V battery (modified from 18/9/2023) and the wheels did not meet the design (new part from 15/9/2023). Dacia knows about it through internal technical notes; there is no recall.
- Check for the garage
- Check the underside, the battery tray and the area around the 12 V battery; ask for the repair under the warranty (3 years or 100,000 km) or the 6-year anti-corrosion warranty.
- Cost cited in the source
- Free under the warranty or the anti-corrosion warranty.A rough figure from the original database, not an up-to-date quote.

Applies if: Cars included in operation 0E3Q (September 2023); confirm by VIN.
Red “panne électrique danger” warning and no start: Dacia Spring charger to be reprogrammedElectrical and electronic systems
- Engine / equipment
- Dacia Spring electric (first generation)
- Period mentioned
- 2021–2023
- Symptoms
- A red warning light comes on with the message “panne électrique danger” (electrical fault, danger) and, in some cases, the car will not start.
- Possible cause described
- An on-board charger fault: an oscillating signal from a microprocessor can cause an overcurrent in the DC/DC converter and damage the “service plug” (the connector firefighters use to disconnect the battery). In September 2023 Dacia opened special technical operation 0E3Q for 5,936 Spring cars in France: it reprograms the charger and sometimes the EVC computer. It is not an official recall.
- Check for the garage
- Ask Dacia by VIN whether operation 0E3Q is pending on the car. With the red warning light on, do not keep driving; the garage reads the charger and EVC codes and updates their software.
- Cost cited in the source
- Free for the owner (special technical operation).A rough figure from the original database, not an up-to-date quote.
