Engine / equipment
Porsche 911 (992)
Period mentioned
2019 onwards
Symptoms
Damp or water in the cabin; engine vibration felt through the car.
Possible cause described
According to the TÜV report published by AUTO BILD, water got into the 992 through badly bonded windows and there was vibration from overly stiff engine mounts; otherwise hardly any series faults are known.
Check for the garage
Look for damp carpets and check the window seals; check outstanding campaigns by VIN; feel for vibration at idle and when accelerating.

White messages about unavailable driver assistance systems that go away after a restart (911 992)Driver assistance
Engine / equipment
Porsche 911 (992) with reversing camera or 360° view
Period mentioned
2020–2026 (US model years)
Symptoms
Several driver assistance systems fail and white messages appear on the dashboard, such as "Assistance systems currently restricted" or "Lane Keep Assist currently not available". After switching the ignition off and on, everything works again.
Possible cause described
The driver assistance control unit (ZFAS) stores code C12D5FA. If it is passive, it may be electromagnetic interference on the video line; if it is active, a faulty contact of the image processor. Porsche describes it in its technical information 975/25.
Check for the garage
Ask the workshop to check whether code C12D5FA is active or passive: if passive, the ground connection of the windshield heating for the front sensors is reworked; if active, the ZFAS control unit is replaced.
