- Engine / equipment
- Suzuki Ignis (MF), all versions
- Period mentioned
- 2016–2026
- Symptoms
- The Dualjet petrol engine uses more fuel when loaded or worked hard; the hybrid system and automatic stop-start sometimes play up.
- Possible cause described
- AUTO BILD’s brand check (September 2025) says the Ignis’s Dualjet petrol tends to use more fuel under load and that the hybrid drive and stop-start system “sometimes play up”, although its reliability is very high. It gives no causes.
- Check for the garage
- If the hybrid system or stop-start plays up, ask a Suzuki dealer, with the VIN, whether any recalls are outstanding: there were recalls for the ENG A-STOP software and the ISG belt.
