Sensor Reference Voltage B Circuit/Open
The ECU gives a fixed 5-volt supply to several sensors at once, such as the pressure, pedal or throttle sensors.
What the car has detected
The voltage of that 5-volt circuit is wrong: one shorted sensor or a damaged wire drags the whole line down.
As several sensors lose their supply at once, the car usually lacks power and shows several warnings. Have it checked soon.
Symptoms
- Engine warning light on
- Loss of power or limp mode
- Several sensor codes at once
Possible causes
- A shorted sensor on the circuit
- Broken or shorted wire, or a loose or corroded connector
- Faulty engine ECU, in rare cases
Checks for the garage
- Measure the 5 volts with all the sensors unplugged
- Plug the sensors back one by one
- Check the circuit wiring
Next step
Ask for the sensors on that circuit to be unplugged one by one to find the one dragging it down, and the wiring checked.
Go to a garage soon. The electrical check needs a multimeter and a diagnostic tool.
