Sources are not verified in real time and no entry confirms that your car is affected.

Engine / equipment
Audi A4 B8 and Q5 3.0 TDI (with other Audi models)
Period mentioned
Recall of August 2014
Symptoms
The brake pedal needs much more force because the brake booster assistance fails, and the stopping distance can grow.
Possible cause described
According to the ADAC, oil vapour can get into the vacuum brake booster membrane and damage it, so braking assistance fails. Dealers check the booster and fit a vacuum line with a non-return valve. It is free, takes half an hour and covered 36,600 cars in Germany (with other models); the action code is in the service book.
Check for the garage
Ask Audi by VIN whether it was done. If the brake pedal goes hard, press harder and go to a garage without carrying on with the car.
