Faulty injectors on the N47T and N57T diesels

Sources are not verified in real time and no entry confirms that your car is affected.

Engine / equipment
N47T 2.0 and N57T 3.0 diesel (versions from about 2014)
Period mentioned
From about 2014; in the US, model years 2015 to 2017
Symptoms
The engine runs rough or hesitates when accelerating (jerking), sometimes with the engine warning light on.
Possible cause described
According to BMW, one or more injectors fail and the ECU has to correct their injection time too much. BMW of North America extended the injector warranty to 10 years or 120,000 miles on the 328d, 535d, X5 35d and 740Ld of those years.
Check for the garage
At the garage: read the engine fault memory (DDE). BMW’s codes for this fault are the zero-quantity adaptation codes of each cylinder with the correction too high, such as 24BB00 (cylinder 1) or 24BF00 (cylinder 2). The failing injector is then replaced and coded into the ECU.
