- Hyundai i10 II, all versions
- Period mentioned
- 2013–2019
- Symptoms
- The sources describe no symptoms: these are defects found by the German roadworthiness test and by ADAC roadside assistance.
- Possible cause described
- ADAC says the i10 II sits mid-table in its breakdown statistics, but that the suspension, brakes and oil leaks cause problems too often: even on young cars, springs, dampers, driveshafts and brakes are flagged at the inspection more than normal, and oil leaks partly appear from the early years. Among roadside breakdowns it lists the starter battery, above all on cars first registered in 2014 and 2015. AUTO BILD (2026 TÜV report) adds that on this generation the brake discs wear out very often, the parking brake is below average and the steering gives slightly more trouble; in its long-term test there were rattles and the clutch had to be replaced.
- Check for the garage
- Before the MOT or periodic inspection, and when buying one second-hand, have the springs, dampers, driveshafts, discs and parking brake checked, look for oil leaks and have the battery tested.
