Symptoms

The engine suddenly stops if the earth cable between the battery and the gearbox breaks.

Possible cause described

According to the ADAC, the earth cable between the battery and the gearbox can break and the engine stops suddenly. Dealers replace the earth cables on the affected cars, in about 60 minutes and free. In Germany it covered 2,167 cars.

Check for the garage

Ask Peugeot by VIN whether it was done. If the engine cuts out by itself or the warning lights flicker for no reason, tell the garage and do not keep driving in traffic.
