- 1.5 Blue dCi (8th-generation K9K): Dacia Sandero II, Logan II and Duster II; Renault Clio V, Captur II, Mégane IV, Kadjar and Kangoo
- Period mentioned
- 2019–2021
- Symptoms
- The engine temperature warning light comes on too easily, sometimes with the coolant level a little low.
- Possible cause described
- According to L'argus (April 2021), Renault and Dacia fix it by tightening a cooling system bleed screw to 6.5 Nm and checking and topping up the coolant, in under a quarter of an hour. It is not a recall because it does not affect safety: it is done at the first visit to a dealer garage. L'argus's Sandero II guide lists it as garage action 0DJG (March 2021) for the 1.5 diesels.
- Check for the garage
- Check the coolant reservoir level with the engine cold and look for leaks. If there are none, ask Renault or Dacia, with the VIN, whether action 0DJG (tightening the bleed screw) is still open on your car. If the temperature gauge really climbs or there is steam, stop the engine.
