Sources are not verified in real time and no entry confirms that your car is affected.

Engine / equipment
Toyota Auris I diesel and RAV4 III (with other Toyota models)
Period mentioned
Recall of October 2015
Symptoms
Window lifters that jam and, in the worst case, a short circuit with overheating and fire.
Possible cause described
According to the ADAC, from manufacturing faults (insufficient internal lubrication that leaves metal abrasion) the window lifter module can short-circuit, overheat and burn. Dealers replace the module with an improved version in an hour and free. In Germany it covered 100,000 cars (with other models). An earlier recall (October 2012) dealt with the window lifter switches, about 136,375 cars.
Check for the garage
Ask Toyota by VIN whether it was done. If a window is very stiff, noisy or smells burnt in the door, do not use it and tell the garage.
