Symptoms

Fully rusted rear reinforcements, rust on the battery tray and lower casing, 14-inch wheels that rust and crack, and acid leaks from the 12 V battery that corrode the right front side member.

Possible cause described

The rear reinforcements lacked electro-galvanising (fixed on 15/11/2022), the lid seal or an over-tightened clamp let acid out of the 12 V battery (modified from 18/9/2023) and the wheels did not meet the design (new part from 15/9/2023). Dacia knows about it through internal technical notes; there is no recall.

Check the underside, the battery tray and the area around the 12 V battery; ask for the repair under the warranty (3 years or 100,000 km) or the 6-year anti-corrosion warranty.
