Creaking when pressing the clutch caused by a non-conforming batch of slave cylindersTransmission
Engine / equipment
Dacia models with a manual gearbox
Period mentioned
2018–2020
Symptoms
A creak or "crack" every time the clutch pedal is pressed; the gears engage normally.
Possible cause described
A non-conforming batch of clutch slave cylinders was fitted from 1/10/2018 to 7/1/2020 (TL4, TL6, TL8 and TLX gearboxes) or up to 10/2/2020 (JH3, JR5 and JXX). The Renault and Dacia technical note reported by L'argus says to replace it with a new part number, after comparing the noise with a recording from the brand. It is not a recall.
Check for the garage
Record the noise on your phone while pressing the clutch and show it to the garage, which compares it with the brand's recording before replacing the whole clutch.

Airbags and drive fail at once because of a connector between the engine and the cabin (2023–2024 Duster)Electrical and electronic systems
Engine / equipment
Dacia Duster built in 2023–2024 (all versions)
Period mentioned
2023–2024
Symptoms
Several systems fail at the same time, among them the airbags (airbag warning light) and the drive: the car may stop moving.
Possible cause described
A faulty cable connection between the engine and the driver's area. Dacia recalled 27,641 Duster built in 2023 and 2024 (campaign 0EFZ, German KBA reference 14486R, November 2024): the connector is checked and repaired if needed. The source does not give the generation, and both the Duster II and Duster III were built in that period.
Check for the garage
Check by VIN with Dacia whether the car is in campaign 0EFZ and whether it has been done. If the airbag light and other warnings come on together, or the car loses drive, do not carry on: call for assistance. The garage checks the connector between the engine and the cabin.
