Applies if: Only the 2024-on version with the 200 kW motor and 110 kWh battery; the recall is for the US Ram ProMaster: confirm by VIN.

Electric drive module with torque spikes and a differential housing that can break (Stellantis large electric vans)Gearbox
Engine / equipment
Fiat e-Ducato, Peugeot e-Boxer, Citroën ë-Jumper, Opel Movano Electric and Toyota Proace Max Electric from 2024 (200 kW motor and 110 kWh battery), the same base as the US Ram ProMaster electric
Period mentioned
2024–2025
Symptoms
Sudden loss of drive; electric-system warnings; knocks or noises from the drive unit under hard acceleration.
Possible cause described
In the US Stellantis recalled about 790 2024–2025 model-year Ram ProMaster electric vans (NHTSA 25V-665, campaign 98C) because the electric drive module software does not limit torque spikes and can leave them without drive: the software of several control units is updated and the module is inspected and replaced if needed. According to Mopar Insiders, Stellantis Europe opened the investigation in March 2025 after a plant alert about broken differential housings on drive modules fitted to e-Ducato vans. Since 2024 the large electric vans of Fiat, Peugeot, Citroën and Opel share the same 200 kW motor and 110 kWh battery, and the Proace Max is the same van with Toyota badges.
Check for the garage
Ask the dealer by VIN whether there is a campaign or update for the drive module; on the test drive, accelerate hard from a standstill and listen for knocks.
