Engine / equipment

Symptoms
Chain noise at high mileage; loss of power and emissions warnings in town use; injectors that will not come out when removed.
Possible cause described
The chain can stretch at high mileage, the injectors can seize in the cylinder head and, with short trips, the particulate filter and EGR clog.

Parking-brake actuator sensor at the wrong angle: the P lock may not engage (campaign 0EY9)Gearbox
Engine / equipment
Fourth-generation Renault Master electric (Master E-Tech Electric) built from 12/4/2024 to 7/5/2025
Period mentioned
2024–2025
Symptoms
When P is pressed, the vehicle is switched off, the driver’s seat belt is released or the driver’s door is opened, the vehicle may not lock in P and can roll on a slope.
Possible cause described
According to alert 39/2025 of the European Safety Gate system (OR/00145/25), the position sensor of the parking-brake actuator is fitted at the wrong angle, so the locking pin does not sit in the “P lock” position. This raises the risk of an accident, although the assisted parking brake (APB) still works and can hold the vehicle. Renault campaign 0EY9 also covers the Austral, Captur, Espace, Mégane E-Tech, Rafale, Scénic E-Tech and Symbioz.
Check for the garage
Check campaign 0EY9 by VIN at a Renault garage. In the meantime, always apply the parking brake when parking on a slope.
