The report (proces-verbal) gives the class or fine points of your fine. Penalty points are something else: they add up on your licence. Note your penalty points in “My car”

Check your fine

What you pay

Write the fine points on the report and we'll tell you the fine and what you pay within 15 days.

  • The 15 days run from the day you are handed the report or it is served on you (by post or at your home). The report says you can pay half.
  • The half is of the class minimum, not of the fine you were given.
  • It does not apply to the fine for not telling the police who was driving your car (art. 109¹).

Did you also get penalty points?

Some fines come with 2, 3, 4 or 6 penalty points. At 15 your licence is suspended for 30 days, and each fine's points run out after 6 months. Note them in “My car” and we'll tell you when you're back to 0.
